The third group of students from Deree - The American College of Greece consists of Χριστίνα Δν a Deree Psychology graduate and Μαριος Αμπα majoring in Biomedical Sciences, are pursuing their internship studying the endangered species #chamaeleo_africanus residing in the Pylos region.
They record the population of the animals, observe their behavior under different circumstances, and calculate the animals’ range of movement from one site to another, utilizing mark-recapture methods. This project is an attempt to better understand the remaining population of #chameleons in the area as they are critically endangered.
