During 21st to 24th of October, NEO team organized a workshop with researchers and professors from Stockholm University (SU). The main aim of the event was to increase the SU activity at NEO so that the station in the future can be used in more education and research. The workshop focused on showing the station and its surroundings and on having discussions on future possibilities.
The first day, the agenda was including presentation round of the workshop participants, a detailed presentation of the station and an excursion in the local area (Gialova lagoon, Palekastro, Nestors cave, Voidokilia beach). The second day, all the colleagues had the opportunity to visit our infrastructure at Methoni’s atmospheric station and our experimental plots of SALAM-MED project.
