The HCMR Transitional Waters team carried out the second seasonal water quality assessment sampling in Gialova lagoon in accordance with the Water Framework Directive (WFD 2000/60/EC). Crucial support to our effort was provided by the Navarino Environmental Observatory (NEO), as we were given access to its premises and the laboratory for the necessary after-sampling procedures. We would like to thank NEO's staff, Giorgos Maneas and Christos Pantazis, who are always eager to assist us with any sampling in the Gialova area.
