NEO Atmospheric Station @ Methoni

At Methoni's Atmospheric Station there is a magnetic station which operates under beta testing conditions by the researchers of Ινστιτούτο Αστρονομίας, Αστροφυσικής, Διαστημικών Εφαρμογών,Τηλεπισκόπησης.

In a recent visit, PhD candidate Zoe Boutsi proceeded to maintenance of the instrument which monitors the variations of the geomagnetic field associated with the occurrence of geospace magnetic storms and magnetospheric ultra low frequency (ULF) electromagnetic waves.
