The research team of the Laboratory of Zoology, University of Ioannina- Τμήμα Βιολογικών Εφαρμογών & Τεχνολογιών with principal investigator Professor Ioannis Leonardos, was hosted at NEO for a week.
The team carried out a series of inland water fish samplings in the region of Messinia and North Peloponnese in order to monitor the ichthyofauna. The samplings were carried out as part of the national research program entitled ‘Monitoring and recording the water conditions (quality, quantity, pressures, use) of Greece', in collaboration with Hellenic Centre for Marine Research - HCMR.
